Baseball Recap: Westlake Beats South for Their Second Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Westlake rose to the challenge on Saturday. They beat the South Rebels by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Demons.

Blake Jensen tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cole Jung, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Sean Brouillard was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Westlake's record is now 14-12. As for South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Westlake nor South have any future games scheduled.
