Football Recap: Eagleton College & Career Academy Piles Up the Points Against Oneida + How To Watch

After only 13 points in their last matchup, Eagleton College & Career Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Oneida on Thursday. The Royals blew past the Indians 40-7. Eagleton College & Career Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lane Cope led the charge by picking up 188 receiving yards and three TDs. With that strong performance, Cope is now averaging an impressive 103.7 receiving yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Mitchell, who threw for 293 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes.

Eagleton College & Career Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cope, Parker Lewis, and Noel Meza-Flores picked up one apiece.

Eagleton College & Career Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.3 points over those games. As for Oneida, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.
