Preview: Cambria Heights Highlanders vs. Northern Cambria Colts
Cambria Heights has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Northern Cambria Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cambria Heights can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They breezed by West Branch at home to the tune of 40-6. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Cambria Heights' 11-point performance the matchup before.
Cambria Heights can attribute much of their success to Trey Trybus, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and Jaxxon Kline, who rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Meanwhile, Northern Cambria entered their tilt with Marion Center with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Northern Cambria blew past Marion Center 45-0 at home.
Jack Sheredy went supernova for Northern Cambria, rushing for 231 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Sheredy really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Ty Dumm was another major influence, as he rushed for 76 yards and ran in a TD.
Cambria Heights has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Northern Cambria, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Cambria Heights lost to Northern Cambria on the road by a decisive 28-11 margin in their previous matchup two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Northern Cambria's Dumm, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
