Basketball Game Preview: Eastside Blazers vs. Westview Warriors

Eastside hasn't had much luck against Westview recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eastside Blazers will venture away from home to face off against the Westview Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Eastside is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Fremont, falling 64-39.

Meanwhile, Westview had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Railroaders with a sharp 55-30 win. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Westview has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Eastside might still be hurting after the 51-25 defeat they got from Westview in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Eastside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
