Basketball Recap: Santana's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Santana entered their match against Canyon Hills on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Santana Sultans took a hard 52-38 fall against the Canyon Hills Rattlers. The Sultans were probably out for revenge after losing 68-36 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Santana lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dain Diaz, who posted eight points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jose Garcia, who put up eight points.

Santana's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Canyon Hills, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Santana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-50 win against O'Farrell Charter on the 17th. As for Canyon Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-52 defeat against Vincent Memorial on the 12th.
