Basketball Recap: Heritage Panthers vs. Astronaut War Eagles
A well-balanced attack led the Heritage Panthers over the Astronaut War Eagles in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Heritage blew the War Eagles out of the water with a 46-9 final score. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for Heritage this season.
Trishay Collins was her usual excellent self, scoring 12 points. Gionna Goodlow was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Heritage and bumps their season record up to 10-8. As for Astronaut, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Heritage will head out on the road to take on the Brahmans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Okeechobee comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Astronaut, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Scorpions at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Satellite focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
