GIOVANNY BASURTO turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Friday. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Southwest last Tuesday, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Diamond Hill-Jarvis is 3-1 when BASURTO allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise.

Looking ahead, BASURTO and Diamond Hill-Jarvis will challenge Western Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are 8-2 against the Cougars going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
