Baseball Recap: Edgewater Triumphs

Edgewater won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Friday too. The Edgewater Eagles came out on top against the Freedom Patriots by a score of 6-3.

The team relied heavily on Sean Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

The win got Edgewater back to even at 8-8. As for Freedom, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Edgewater will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Belleview at 6:30 p.m. on March 24th. Freedom will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
