Ardsley came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with seven straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Byram Hills Bobcats. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Ardsley wouldn't go down easily and took Byram Hills into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Masha Stern went supernova, getting 28 kills, seven digs, and four aces. Another player making a difference was Antonella Lanza, who had 47 assists and 11 digs.

Ardsley's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Byram Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 3-4.
