Muncie Central proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Muncie Burris Owls 2-1. Given Muncie Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Muncie Burris are ranked 146th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Toby Gruver and Isaac Wooten scored both of Muncie Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.
