Volleyball Preview: Wilson Wildcats vs. Northview Vikings
Wilson is 0-10 against Northview since October of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Wilson Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Northview Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wilson will head into Tuesday's match after some sweet revenge against West Covina: Wilson couldn't quite topple West Covina on Tuesday, but it was still a huge improvement compared to the three-set defeat they took when the two last played. Wilson blew past West Covina 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Northview had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Colts.
Northview wouldn't go down easily and took Covina into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-19, 24-26, 25-16, 15-10.
The win got Wilson back to even at 7-7. As for Northview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-13 record this season.
