Soccer Game Preview: Jackson County vs. Clarke Central

The Jackson County Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Clarke Central Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Tuesday, Jackson County came up short against Oconee County and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Clarke Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 5-0 to North Oconee.

Clarke Central now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jackson County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Jackson County took their win against Clarke Central in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson County since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
