Football Recap: Olney Falls to Reagan County in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Olney unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Reagan County Owls on Thursday, falling 42-13. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Reagan County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquis Vargas, who threw for 198 yards and four touchdowns. 100 of those passing yards were hauled in by Kaden Galindo, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olney will welcome Petrolia at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Reagan County, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Grape Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
