AAA Dominion recap Oct. 30, 2012
Justin Joyce and Daniel Jackson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Clover Hill. The connection was good for 89 yards, the longest such play in AAA Dominion this season.
Bird extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Monacan, 44-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Midlothian's dynamic duo of Joyce and Jackson proved tough for the Cavaliers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Joyce threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns and Jackson had 89 yards receiving. Madison Day helped Midlothian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 57 yards.
Carlos Morales was the most productive running back in the league this week. In seven carries, he ran for 64 yards as Manchester bested Clover Hill. Laki Simon also contributed to the rushing game with 60 yards on the ground.
Thanks to the talents of Joyce and Taylor Stout Midlothian has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Joyce leads the league in passing with 1091 yards, while Stout has rushed for 446 yards this season. The Lancers' Myles Brathwaite leads the league in receiving yards with 662 on 24 catches.
A big matchup in AAA Dominion this week will be when the Chiefs take on Kevin Thomas' team. Monacan is currently in fifth, while the Trojans are in third.
Bird led the league in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on Daniel Parsons' team.
