Softball Recap: Edison Gets the Win

Edison posted their closest win since April 19, 2024 on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Colonia Patriots 4-3.

Jenna Fugate spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, K Harkins was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Nalini Parekh, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Colonia, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Looking ahead, Edison will head out on the road to face off against Metuchen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colonia, they will challenge Union at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
