Basketball Recap: Tawanya Harrington Key Part of a Team Effort in Blue Devils Win

Ellenville won the last time they faced Rhinebeck and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ellenville Blue Devils put the hurt on the Rhinebeck Hawks with a sharp 63-43 win. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ellenville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tawanya Harrington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards. Those 15 points gave Harrington a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Ramos, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Ellenville's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-5. As for Rhinebeck, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ellenville has already played their next match, a 64-61 win against Pine Plains on the 4th. As for Rhinebeck, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 36-28 victory against Millbrook on the 31st.
