Baseball Recap: Canterbury School Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Canterbury School strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Salisbury School Crimson Knights as they made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Saints have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carter Heagle made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Jack Jensen tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Logan Martel, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Canterbury School's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Salisbury School, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Canterbury School will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Crimson Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
