While Everglades's victory against Piper wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Gators won by a run and slipped past the Bengals 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won three in a row.

Everglades' victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Piper, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Everglades will head out to square off against Palmetto at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.2 runs per game on average), something the Gators will no doubt try to take advantage of. Piper has already played their next contest (against American Heritage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
