Soccer Recap: Pleasant Valley Comes Up Short

They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Ankeny Christian Academy. That's two games in a row now that Pleasant Valley have lost by just one goal.

Pleasant Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ankeny Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Pleasant Valley will challenge Assumption at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Assumption's defense has only allowed 0.2 goals per game this season, so Pleasant Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Ankeny Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Valley at 7:30 p.m.
