Baseball Game Preview: ALA - Queen Creek Patriots vs. ALA - Gilbert North Eagles

For the first time this season, ALA - Queen Creek will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the ALA - Gilbert North Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. ALA - Queen Creek's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so ALA - Gilbert North's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

ALA - Queen Creek made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bradshaw Mountain, but they still couldn't quite topple them. ALA - Queen Creek put the hurt on Bradshaw Mountain with a sharp 13-5 victory on Saturday. Considering the Patriots have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

ALA - Queen Creek got a massive performance out of Seth Nielson, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits Nielson has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Juan Pablo Altamirano, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, ALA - Gilbert North came up short against Deer Valley on Thursday and fell 6-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Matix Dunn was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, ALA - Gilbert North saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Poulsen, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

ALA - Queen Creek's win bumped their record up to 11-1. As for ALA - Gilbert North, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

ALA - Queen Creek beat ALA - Gilbert North 14-10 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will ALA - Queen Creek repeat their success, or does ALA - Gilbert North has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
