Volleyball Recap: Andrea Salgado Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Porter

Pace won the last time they faced Porter and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-10, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pace to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andrea Salgado, who had ten digs and three assists. Salgado is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Pace's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Porter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pace will face off against rival Donna North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Porter is set to challenge their familiar foe Weslaco East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
