Football Game Preview: Kecoughtan Warriors vs. Warwick Raiders

The Kecoughtan Warriors will take on the Warwick Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kecoughtan has given up an average of 29.9 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kecoughtan is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Denbigh on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors had to suffer through a 35-7 loss at the hands of the Patriots. The Warriors were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, Warwick unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Thursday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hampton.

Kecoughtan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Warwick, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Kecoughtan was dealt a bruising 64-0 defeat at the hands of Warwick in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
