Volleyball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer lost against Mesa Verde back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pioneer Patriots fell 3-1 to the Mesa Verde Mavericks. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17.

Among those leading the charge was Steven Boone, who had nine assists and five digs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in digs.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mesa Verde, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Pioneer will be playing in front of their home fans against Del Campo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mesa Verde, they will host McClatchy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mesa Verde is facing McClatchy at the right time seeing as McClatchy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
