Baseball Recap: Mcdowell's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

McDowell won the last time they faced St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and things went their way on Saturday too. The Trojans came out on top against the Marauders by a score of 8-4. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ethan Bechtold looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Owen McGrath was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

McDowell's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-11-1.

McDowell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Erie on the 21st. As for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-2 win against St. Mary's on the 19th.
