Baseball Recap: Valley Comes Up Short

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Desert Pines Jaguars, falling 16-1.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Desert Pines, their victory bumped their record up to 5-15.

Coming up, Valley is taking a road trip to square off against Canyon Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.58 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Desert Pines, they will welcome Del Sol at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 11.1 runs per game this season.
