Basketball Recap: North Dallas Adventist Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Winston School of Dallas back in December of 2024, North Dallas Adventist Academy came back down to earth. The North Dallas Adventist Academy Sentinel took a 65-50 bruising from the Chisholm Trail Academy Blazers on Wednesday. If the Sentinel were looking for revenge after losing 63-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Loss or not, North Dallas Adventist Academy got some senior leadership from Boomer Frain and Sebastian Cardoso. Frain dropped a double-double on 19 points and 18 boards, while Cardoso went 7 of 16 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Even though they lost, North Dallas Adventist Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Chisholm Trail Academy found their leader in sophomore Max Castro, who posted 30 points along with seven boards and three steals. Castro's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Weaver, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards.

North Dallas Adventist Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Chisholm Trail Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chisholm Trail Academy beat North Dallas Adventist Academy by a score of 71-43 on Saturday.
