Baseball Game Preview: Sequoia Ravens vs. Burlingame Panthers

Sequoia is 2-8 against Burlingame since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. Sequoia will head out on the road to square off against Burlingame at 4:00 p.m. Sequoia's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Burlingame's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Sequoia came up short against Mountain View and fell 4-1.

Sequoia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Fausto, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That hit marked the first that Fausto got this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Burlingame, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Sacred Heart Prep 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Dionisios Vorrises spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

Burlingame's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sequoia, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
