Basketball Game Preview: Sarasota Sailors vs. Southeast Seminoles

The Sarasota Sailors will take on the Southeast Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sarasota's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups.

On Wednesday, Sarasota earned a 75-66 win over Venice. Given the Sailors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Indians are ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Southeast ended up a good deal behind Parrish Community on Tuesday and lost 58-42.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Sarasota, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.

Everything came up roses for Sarasota against Southeast in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured an 80-53 win. Does Sarasota have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeast turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
