Basketball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Hondo

After losing to Jourdanton the last time they met, Hondo decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hondo Owls secured a 67-61 W over the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Owls.

Hondo's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-16. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Jourdanton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Hondo will venture away from home to challenge Dilley at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Jourdanton, they will host Crystal City at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crystal City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Jourdanton likes a good challenge.
