Basketball Recap: Jacob David Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bingham

Rock Canyon saw some tournament action on Thursday. They managed a 75-69 win over the Bingham Miners. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rock Canyon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob David, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 21 points. David is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Kai Valentine was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

When it comes to explaining why Bingham lost, don't look at Luke West. Despite the final result, he shot 59% from the field en route to 26 points. Parker Snedaker also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Rock Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Bingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Rock Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-48 loss against Corner Canyon on the 5th. As for Bingham, they have also already played their next contest, a 68-63 win against Lehi on the 5th.
