Softball Recap: Locke Comes Up Short

Locke extended their losing streak to ten on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They lost 15-4 to the Discovery Warriors. The Saints were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

As for Discovery, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

For Discovery's part, they let Pamela Quiroz and Ambert Robert run wild. Quiroz went 4-for-5 with three runs, while Robert went 4-for-5 with three runs. Robert has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. Natalie Castrellon was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one run.

Looking ahead, Locke will take on King/Drew at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Discovery, they are taking a road trip to take on Bert Corona Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
