Softball Recap: Pacifica Has No Trouble Against Santa Clara

Pacifica lost to Santa Clara back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Pacifica Tritons put the hurt on the Santa Clara Saints with a sharp 14-4 victory.

Dimyla Apiu was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Melissa Garcia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Pacifica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Clara only posted an OBP of .292.

The win got Pacifica back to even at 2-2. As for Santa Clara, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Pacifica will challenge Nordhoff at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Clara will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carpinteria at 3:30 p.m. on March 4th.
