Volleyball Recap: Bishop Kenny Comes Up Short

If Bishop Kenny was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Episcopal School of Jacksonville last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crusaders came up short against the Ponte Vedra Sharks on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sharks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Bishop Kenny was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Ponte Vedra's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21, 26-24.

Bishop Kenny moved to 14-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Ponte Vedra, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Bishop Kenny will square off against Beachside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ponte Vedra, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Harvest Community on the 1st.
