Volleyball Game Preview: Calexico Bulldogs vs. Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets

Calexico is a perfect 10-0 against Palo Verde Valley since August of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Calexico has three straight wins, Palo Verde Valley has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Calexico made easy work of Vincent Memorial and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 25-15.

Calexico's success was spearheaded by the efforts of DANNA HERNANDEZ, who had 20 digs, and EVALYN RUBIO, who hit 81.8% for ten kills and 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs HERNANDEZ has posted over her last two matches.

Meanwhile, Palo Verde Valley took on Calipatria in a bug-themed battle on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets lost 3-0 to the Hornets.

Calexico's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Palo Verde Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Calexico took their victory against Palo Verde Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
