Basketball Recap: Morse Find Success

Morse came into Friday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-59 win over Mission Vista on Friday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 71-68 loss the last time these two teams met.

Morse found their leader in sophomore Jayren Sunico, who went 7 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sunico has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamarion Hall, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and eight rebounds.

Morse's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mission Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Morse has already played their next contest, a 64-60 win against Calvin Christian on the 4th. As for Mission Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-57 defeat against El Capitan on the 4th.
