Volleyball Game Preview: Eastside Catholic Crusaders vs. Lincoln Lynx

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders will take on the Lincoln Lynx at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lincoln took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastside Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Eastside Catholic not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Seattle Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Eastside Catholic not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Seattle Academy between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18, 25-19.

Eastside Catholic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Velvet Jia, who had 16 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Jia a new career-high in assists (two). Another player making a difference was Lusia Finau, who had 13 digs and three assists.

Meanwhile, Lincoln came up short against Holy Names Academy on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Lynx in their meetings with Holy Names Academy: they've now lost five in a row.

Eastside Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
