Northview put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Glendora Tartans as the Northview Vikings made off with a 33-10 win. Fans of the Vikings have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ point.
Keanu Tauvao had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Lucero, who picked up 155 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Northview was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Northview's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Glendora, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Northview will face off against Covina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran up and down the field in their prior games.
