Football Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

Wilson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were outmatched by the Trent Gorillas and fell 76-27. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gorillas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Trent, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

Keagen Hollis had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 456 yards and six TDs while picking up 22.8 yards per carry. Those 456 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chanse Williams, who rushed for 99 yards and three scores on only 12 carries.

Wilson has already played their next game, a 62-12 defeat against Lorenzo on the 12th. As for Trent, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-8 win against Priddy on the 12th.
