They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Ames Little Cyclones. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Waukee's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Ames, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Little Cyclones beat Waukee by a score of 6-4 later that day.
