Volleyball Recap: St. Rita Comes Up Short

St. Rita was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Sandburg Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14.

St. Rita's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sandburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

St. Rita didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Fenwick on the 1st. As for Sandburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Andrew at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Thunderbolts at the right time seeing as the Thunderbolts are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
