Softball Recap: Smith Jewish Day School Falls to Georgetown Day in First Game of Season

Smith Jewish Day School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers on Wednesday.

The victory made it two in a row for Georgetown Day and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Smith Jewish Day School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bishop McNamara at 4:00 p.m. on April 3rd. As for Georgetown Day, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 22-5 win against DC International on the 18th.
