Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln-Way East vs. Andrew

The Lincoln-Way East Griffins will square off against the Andrew Thunderbolts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lincoln-Way East fell victim to Lockport and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Porters. While losing is never fun, Lincoln-Way East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Lockport are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Andrew was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Stagg, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that Andrew have lost by exactly three goals.

Lincoln-Way East's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Andrew, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.
