Football Recap: Tija Holland and J'ziyah Munford Secure Win for Springstead

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Springstead walked away with it. They secured a 26-20 W over the Sunlake Seahawks on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-13 back in March.

Leading Springstead to victory were J'Ziyah Munford and Tija Holland. Munford rushed for 50 yards and one TD, while Holland picked up 104 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Holland showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards.

Springstead is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.5 points on average over those games. As for Sunlake, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-5 record.

Springstead wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 19-6 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 16th. Sunlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
