Volleyball Recap: Chester Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hayfork Timberjacks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Timberjacks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Saturday.

While Chester was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Stevie Kuersten paced Chester's offense, picking up four kills. Kuersten got some help from Jenna Schlueter and her six assists. Finally, Addisen Nashlund kept Chester's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Chester's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Hayfork, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Looking ahead, Chester will take on Burney at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Volcanoes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. After both having extra time off, Hayfork and Happy Camp will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
