Baseball Recap: Princeton Tigers vs. Heritage Hills Patriots

Princeton extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 17-6 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Hills Patriots. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Tigers, who until this game were averaging 3.52 runs allowed.

Princeton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jarrett Kinder, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Tyson Engelbrecht also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Heritage Hills, they will square off against Corydon Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
