Breathitt County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They skirted past the Magoffin County Hornets 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won four in a row.

Tatum Moore was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Moore was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breathitt County is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Letcher County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Magoffin County, they will face off against Floyd Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Magoffin County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
