Washington is 9-1 against Rapid City Central since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Washington Warriors will host the Rapid City Central Cobblers at 12:30 p.m. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Rapid City Central likes a good challenge.

Washington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Dakota's top teams: Stevens, who was ranked 16th at the time (Washington was ranked eighth). Washington managed a 63-59 victory over Stevens on Friday.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Rapid City Central and Lincoln had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Rapid City Central had just enough and edged out Lincoln 40-38.

Washington pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Rapid City Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-17.

Washington beat Rapid City Central 51-38 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Will Washington repeat their success, or does Rapid City Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
