Softball Recap: Make It Ten in a Row for Crest

Crest proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Kings Mountain Mountaineers 2-1. The two-run effort marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Crest's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ella Shope, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Shope's first of the season.

The win was the tenth in a row for Crest, bringing their record up to 11-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Kings Mountain, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.
