Baseball Game Preview: Basha Bears vs. Chandler Wolves

For the second straight game, Basha will face off against Chandler. The Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Basha turned things around against Chandler on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 7-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 12, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Tyler Jensen tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Chanley, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Smith, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

Basha was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chandler only posted a batting average of .174.

Chandler's loss dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Basha, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 9-13-1.
