Norton had won three straight games and Eli Jones did his part to make it four on Friday. The Norton Bluejays came out on top against the Smith Center Redmen by a score of 60-48 thanks in part to Jones, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 24 points and five boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 19 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Despite the loss, Smith Center had strong showings from Brant Wilson, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds, and Mason Enochs, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards.

Norton's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Smith Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bluejays challenge the Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smith Center, they will host Minneapolis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smith Center is facing Minneapolis at the right time seeing as Minneapolis is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
